Being thankful!!!!

This year Thanksgiving has another meaning to me. I know that normally we are "thankful" for so many tings, but wow this year has to be at the top of my "thankful years". Let me explain. On the 10th of November Michael had to call the ambulance to come out to the house because I passed out at 2:00am and he could not wake me. So off to the Imperial hospital we went. It turns out that I was in the middle of a terrible Lupus flare up. I spent the next 7 days in the hospital being given iv steroids in great quantities, and some pain medicine because when I passed out I hit the back of my head so hard that it caused a concussion.
As most of you know that my parents had just visited and they returned to Illinois the 5th. But being the type of wonderful parents they are they turned around and headed back to be here with us to help out. It is so difficult to explain how I felt when they walked into my hospital room that Wed. it was as if I knew things were going to be alright. Thank you Mom and Daddy for being here when we needed you the most. We love you so much!
I finally convinced the doc's to let me come home on Friday night and it was only because Mom and Daddy were here 24/7 that doc. agreed to let me come home.
I am gaining strength each and every day, and it is only thru prayers and the love of all of you who called and came to visit. Please continue to pray. We are headed to the Mayo clinic the 2nd. of December, pray for the wisdom of the Doctors we are going to be seeing, and for me to have the strength to endure all that we are going to face.
So this year the word Thanksgiving means so much more to me. I have so much to be thankful for the Lord is so good!!!!

What am I thankful for?

Do you think that we look anything alike?

What are they teaching my girls?

Sunday afternoon I laid down for a nap and when I got up this was the scene in my kitchen. Can I say this is a good influence on my children? I guess the girls did enjoy it, and it was harmless. But now here is the thing:) both of the girls whipped up on my folks, Breann thinks it is so cool that she beat grandma and grandpa. Grandpa calls Brittnae Maverick Maris. Do I have to worry about them heading for Vegas????? POOR GRANDPA!!

Look at the penny bowls.... check out who's is the fullest?????

Someone did or said something funny
My parents left Monday, and it is just so lonely here. I sure do miss you Mom and Daddy. Cannot wait to see you over the Christmas break.

One Act Performance

This is the entire cast and crew of Haunting Hamlet

Last night was the One Act Performance that the girls have been practicing for for almost 6 weeks.

This is Brittnae and her friend Ayla, they were in the chorus.

This was Breann's costume in the "Haunting Hamlet" performance. She had to play the part of a
guy Felonius (a lawyer)
Before the play started the cast and a few of the audience played "who's line is it?" This is Brittnae and Breann trying to figure out what to do with their props?

This is a scene with Breann and Brittnae in that background.

Moppets

Today was another Moppets Thursday. It was even more fun than normal because we had a very special helper, My Mom who is visiting from Illinois(where I grew up), was here to lend a helping hand.
We talked about how special God made each and everyone of us and how different we all are. We painted a we are special picture and our snack was even healthy:) we had different sizes and shapes of apples, oranges, bananas, grapes. Then we had veggies of celery, carrots and even cucumbers. It was so much fun to talk about how different God made the fruits and veggies that we eat.
The game we played was everyone took off their shoes and I called 2 names and they had a race to see who could find and put of their shoes the fastest. I loved the slip on vs. the tennis shoes.
I cannot wait until next time!!!
